Overview

Keratoconus is a progressive eye disorder that causes the cornea to thin and bulge, resulting in distorted vision and sensitivity to light.

It typically affects both eyes and can lead to severe vision impairment if left untreated.

Treatment options vary according to the severity of keratoconus, starting from correction with eyeglasses, contact lenses (RGP or Scleral), corneal cross-linking, intra-corneal rings, to corneal transplantation.
